Larry Pinheiro: December 30, 1932 – February 6, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Hilary (Larry) Pinheiro, born in Georgetown, British Guiana (Guyana) on December 30, 1932, and peacefully departed in Port Hope, Ontario on February 6, 2024.

Larry’s journey in the workforce began as a dedicated merchant mariner with Saguenay Shipping. Later, he transitioned to Bookers Garage, where he applied his skills as a mechanic, before becoming the esteemed manager of the Bandag Tire Retreading plant in Ruimveldt.

He is survived by his loving wife, Yvonne Regina, and his cherished sisters, Verma Gomes of Barrie, Ontario, and Myrna (Babes) Lawrence of Calgary, Alberta. Larry was predeceased by his mother, Philomena (Bella), and his sister Joan Pinheiro, formerly of Guyana Stores Ltd., and later residing in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

Larry’s memory will forever be treasured by his nieces and nephews in Canada and Germany, and cousins in the USA. He will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his work, his kindness, and the love he shared with family and friends.

May he rest in peace.
