Renowned Guyanese radio broadcaster, Terrence Ormonde Holder died earlier today at the age of 73 after an extended period of illness.
Holder began his broadcasting career at Guyana Broadcasting Service (GBS) in the 1960s. He became senior producer, then General Manager of the Guyana Broadcasting Corporation in the 1990s

A few years ago declining health forced his retirement from the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T,) where he had served as Deputy General Manager (Public Communications).
He served on the board of directors of GBC's successor,National Communications Network (NCN) and later moved to the Ministry of information
Holder served as Secretary General of the Caribbean Broadcasting Union (CBU), the Guyana Cricket Board and was recently lauded by the Guyana Manufacturing and Services Association (GMSA) for his contributions to their organization.
