Shirley Chisholm: Unbossed and Unbowed is an immersive and interactive theatre experience. This solo show is about the first African American woman to win a seat in the US Congress and the first to run for Presidency of the US. In the 1960s and 1970s this daughter of Caribbean parents was on a mission. She called herself “Fighting Shirley” as she faced off against the political machine in the name of justice. Now she’s back to tell you what it took then and what it takes now to make a difference.
