Governor General Sir David Rose, 44, of Guyana, and wife Patricia, occupy Guyana House in Georgetown.
He wears the formal uniform of office. Son of a leprologist, Sir David was governor of Antigua two years and colonel in the police force when he received Queen’s appointment following Guyana’s independence.
