Information surrounding the cause of death of a 23-year-old Electrician who was allegedly electrocuted while on duty at the Skeldon Sugar Factor is still unclear.

Ulric Johnson was pronounced dead at the village’s hospital yesterday afternoon. Management officials were contacted to give further insight on the matter but to no avail.

Sector Minister Dr. Leslie Ramsammy when contacted said that a report would be given on Monday (27/01/14) as to what may have led to the employee’s death.

Reports states that Johnson was at the time carrying out inspection and checks on the electrical machinery and appliances used on a daily basis at the factory.
